History

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry was established in 1990 by the central government with the cooperation of central provincial council under the funds of USA. Firstly, in 1991 to 1993 CCICP established in Kodithuwakkuarachchi (white house) Building. Therein after chamber premises changed into different places. It has been established for the purpose of providing social services not only the Kandy district but for the whole central province. As of today, CCICP is prominent among other chambers of Sri Lanka because of the great services provided to the Entrepreneurs within the central province.
